Rise joins the Disability Confident scheme, committing to inclusivity

Rise is proud to announce that it has joined the Disability Confident scheme and is now a Disability Confident Committed Employer. This milestone marks an important step in Rise’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and diversity within the workplace.

The Disability Confident scheme encourages employers to prioritise and take steps to improve the recruitment, retention, and development of disabled employees. By participating, Rise aims to tap into the vast pool of talent among disabled individuals, increasing understanding of disability and removing barriers to employment.

David Marrin, Business & Strategy Director at Rise, says: “We are delighted to sign up to the Disability Confident Scheme. We want to attract people to come and work for us from the widest possible pool of talent and recognise the considerable benefits associated with attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing a workforce from a diverse range of backgrounds that is representative of the local population.

"Linked to our Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, we aim to embed equality, diversity, and inclusion across our organisation. We are shortly going to be undertaking a full review of our recruitment processes to better understand how we can become a more inclusive employer. Signing up to this scheme is one of the first steps on this journey for us.”
