If we are to create a more active population, we need to have a granular understanding of the people we aim to support and the environment within which we are operating.
By sharing knowledge between ourselves and our partners, we can understand what works best to create the conditions for people to be active, using this knowledge to guide decision-making.

CMO guidelines
The UK Chief Medical Officers' Physical Activity Guidelines set out the evidence for how much and what kinds of physical activity we need to do to keep ourselves healthy. They have now been updated to include additional guidance on being active during pregnancy and after giving birth, and for disabled adults.
