The active partnership for Northumberland and Tyne & Wear, Rise, has launched a new resource for businesses to support their employee’s physical and mental health.

The new Rise employee wellbeing directory gives organisations of any size, a range of opportunities to engage with innovative apps and software to encourage and enable their workforce to become and remain active using virtual challenges including whole team and individual or family challenges.

Rebecca Bennett, Active Workplace Development Manager for Rise and leading the project said: “Employee wellbeing is as important now as it has ever been and taking care of our physical and mental wellbeing is of increasing importance, both in and out of work. We know that supporting staff wellbeing makes a business a great place to work and improving employee health leads to reduced absenteeism and a happier, more productive workforce.

“So, we’ve worked closely with a number of trusted software developers to create this employee wellbeing directory featuring apps and software to help engage employees in activity and boost morale. We’re looking forward to supporting more businesses in supporting their workforce in any way we can.”

It is hoped that as restrictions ease and businesses adapt to more flexible or hybrid styles of working, the resource can be utilised by those working in any location at any time.

Organisations from across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear can download the employee wellbeing directory by clicking here and exploring the various options available, before contacting Rise who can then assist in liaising with the platforms and setting up the challenges.
