Celebrating 4 years of life-changing work for Rise

Rise is celebrating its fourth anniversary – with the team sharing their highlights and proudest achievements of transforming lives using the power of physical activity.

Rise is the North East’s leading health and wellbeing charity, and is passionate about the role that physical activity can play in making a difference to the communities that need it most.

Rise reaches more than 50,000 people each year through direct delivery or through partnership work including partners in health, education, the criminal justice system, transport and planning.  Its team of experts works closely with these partners to show how physical activity can tackle inequalities and help solve some of the biggest issues affecting our most marginalised communities.

Clare Morley, CEO at Rise, comments: “We are delighted to be celebrating the 4th birthday of Rise in its current form this month. It provides a great opportunity to reflect on the journey we have been on in that time and the impact we are having in changing the local system in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear in order that lives can be transformed by physical activity.

“I also want to take this opportunity to share my appreciation for the hard work of our team over the past four years – the passion, expertise and dedication of our team is our greatest asset. Each of their contributions has been invaluable in achieving our goals and helping to bring about change for the people who need it most in our region.”
